Caprica for season 2!
Jul 9 2010, 5:26 PM EDT | Post edited: Jul 9 2010, 5:26 PM EDT
All you Cylons join up if you want Caprica for a second season! Syfy will air the second half of season 1, but they're still not sure if they're going to get to season 2, so we have to do everything we can possibly do to help make that happen! http://www.facebook.com/pages/Caprica-for-season-2/141388579206411?v=photos#!/pages/Caprica-for-season-2/141388579206411

OK, I don't do tv...haven't for over seven years. I buy dvd's and have the complete Battle Star series and the two hour special intro to Caprica. My question is....when is the series coming out on dvd?

If I need to email someone to support this series, let me know

All I know is Caprica re-starts in January on SyFy and also on SPACE ( In Canada)
So it will continue on from the cliff hanger.
As for DVD's....not sure when but you could contact SyFy.

They're calling the January start "Season One, Part Two", which suggests that there will be no DVD until the end of Part Two (no one issues mid-season DVDs.) Watch the trailer linked here under News. It looks like some very exciting things are in store for us.

The Caprica season 1.5 DvD is scheduled for release on October 5th.

Purchasing this DvD set as well as emailing feedback@syfy.com asking them to renew for season 2 are probably the only things that can save the show now.

Also, BSG issued mid-season DvDs for season 2 and 4. It's pretty lame, but it happens. At least one of these mid-season breaks was due to the writer's strike.

Thanks, I didn't follow BSG (please! Don't shoot!) and did not know that. But shouldn't they be calling it Season 0.5, since we've only had half a season at this time? 1.5 would properly fall in the middle of Season 2. Now if we get a Season 2 I won't gripe about a midseason DVD and just be happy that it made it to the second season! Do you find this valuable?

I do highly recommend BSG to almost anyone and especially fans of Caprica but there will be no shootings :)

I agree that it does seem counter-intuitive the way they assign numbers to these shows but think of it in terms of software. A 1.5 version of software is still an update of the first iteration and it doesn't get a 2.0 designation until it is significantly changed. Like a new release or sequel.

The 1.5 release is just to generate sales of the DVD's
Usually the network re-broadcasts the episodes just before the release of the new ones...so I'll just wait for that!!

If the first 9 eps are released on dvd it should be S-1, S-1.0 ?
then the rest that is about to air would be S-1.5
the first part of S-2 would be 2.0
the thing is many articles on the show starting back oct 5th said this was
Season -2 LOL

I'm with you. They can't leave us hanging, so continue with the 2nd season if only just to see what Zoe the Cylon does, and how Graystone Industies fulfills its destiny.
