The show's attitude towards technology

BSG was arguably one of the most epic cautionary tales about the dangers of technology and I think Caprica will explore this on an even more intimate scale, as it's a terrestrial drama. Do you think stories like this promote technophobia or is it just fiction that most people will sit back and enjoy?

It will be interesting to see how this pans out. For one thing, the culture on Caprica will already be heavily dependent upon / influenced by technology. And the impression I get from the trailers is that the primary issue won't be machines as labor-saving devices (which is what eventually leads to they Cylon war, yes?) so much as machines as replacements for actual human bodies.

It will be interesting to see how (and if) the story shifts from "machines with souls" to "machines as slaves." It sounds a little bit less Terminator and a little bit more Star Trek.

It appears that the science at the very core of the show is flawed (http://tinyurl.com/oqf2p4). Not enough to spoil the enjoyment of the show, but interesting all the same. Hey, we take faster-than-light travel for granted, and even a police telephone box that can travel through space and time, so the AI being iffy is hardly a stretch to overlook...! LOL. Yeah, I thought that too about some of the future tech, but like you said, it's sci-fi!
