All you Cylons join up if you want Caprica for a second season! The 1.5 release is just to generate sales of the DVD's
Usually the network re-broadcasts the episodes just before the release of the new ones...so I'll just wait for that!!

The Cylons won the first Cylon War. Human civilaztion was virtualized a la the Matrix. The Cylons are now running 'monte carlo' simulations (hence the deja vu experience of the Cylons in the last episodes) of the universe in order to end up with a happy ending. Everyone in the BSG series, Cylon and human, were avatars.

I have not yet found it for Caprica but I remember often quite enjoying podcasts for bsg. Thanx.
Good luck finding coherence in bsg's finaly. I hated almost everything from when Tory was killed on. After going along for t ride for four years and getting involved in wanting four years worth of mysteries solved we find that the answer to all of them was that it was all just magic, supernateral magic.

It looks like there were only 3 or 4 years between the creation of the Cylons and their rebellion against humanity. Do you think Caprica will (or should) stick to the story of their initial development, or will the show eventually cover the Cylon War itself (which presumably is what prompts the Colonies to start building battlestars...)?

So far Bill Adama is the only credited crossover character between BSG and Caprica -- I had always assumed that his anti-Cylon sentiments stemmed from his tour of duty in the Cylon War, but it seems now that they may reach much farther back, into his childhood. Is this a good thing? Does it seem strange to place Adama so close to the story of the creation of the Cylons?

I think the whole series deals with Destiny much like Lost. In the Case of BSG and Caprica it is the Destiny of Bill Adama.

Hi everyone! I just joined this site and seem to be experiencing a few technical difficulties with editing my profile so I thought I would do a post to give you a better idea adout me.
I live in the Central New York region of NY State and am a huge science fiction fan. I currently am a member of the site www.theoriesonlost.com and post theories about Lost on a regular basis. If you want to get an idea of the way I can contribute here you should check out that site, I use the same screen name and avatar there.
As I mentioned I am a big SF fan. Besisdes Caprica and BSG, I am into Lost, Doctor Who, The Prisoner, Star Trek, Smallville, Farscape, Stargate SG-1, to name a few.
I also read a lot. Douglas Adams is my favorite author. I also like Neil Gaiman books and what ever looks like it will be an interesting story. I am currently reading Anathem by Neil Stephenson. also, I am starting to get into Steampunk.
I hope that gives you an idea about who I am and I look forward to having interesting discussions with you.

I it true that "Caprica" does not return to prime time SyFy until the fall? After Zoe's avatar crash, there was no more "Cap...". Will it indeed resume later?

Hello. I joined this just now hoping that there will soon be intelligent conversations about all that's going on in this show, I got sick of IMD B and the people just so angry that this wasn't BSG. So I hope there are no comparisons, as RM has said that he WANTS a 'completely different show'. Being a fan of all things BSG I gotta say it's a little hard to let go and trust this show, but I'm willing. So far, I'm enthralled by the pilot and the cast.

Look at all the shows represented here: Deadwood, Jericho, Lost, Rome, 24, Smallville, ER, NYPD Blue -- there's a lot of great talent coming together for this pilot. Especially glad to see Trixe from "Deadwood" (Malcomson) and Atia from "Rome" (Walker) meeting up in the Battlestar Galactica universe. And Curtis Manning (Cross) was always one my favorite "24" characters.
No doubt we'll see this cast grow as the show gets into regular production -- who else would you like see join the Caprica cast?

Can't remember, which "Adama" did Lorne Green play in the original BSG?? He was a captain or colonal. Can't think of his 1st name in the show.

Adama was called "Commander Adama"
I don't think they used his first name in the show, but it was William in the latest series.
