POLLY WALKER BIO

Polly Walker is an actress who has captivated U.S. audiences and
abroad with her nuanced performances.

Born in Warrington, Cheshire, England, Walker began her career as a
dancer, but at 18 turned her attention to acting, eventually moving
from the Drama Centre in London to the Royal Shakespeare Company.

Walker's powerful work on HBO's hit series "Rome" earned plaudits.
Her portrayal of the villainous "Atia of the Julii" garnered her a
nomination for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series
at the 2006 Golden Globe Awards, as well as a Saturn Award nomination.
The critically acclaimed series chronicling the rise and fall of
ancient Rome also starred Kevin McKidd, Ray Stevenson, Kerry Condon,
and James Purefoy.

Walker's other varied television credits include the BBC's "Waking The
Dead" and the television movies "Lorna Doone" (as the title
character), "A Dangerous Man: Lawrence Of Arabia" with Ralph Fiennes,
and "Jeffrey Archer: The Truth" opposite Damien Lewis. She turned
heads again in the hugely acclaimed 2003 BBC miniseries "State of
Play," opposite Bill Nighy and David Morrissey, which will be adapted
into a feature film by Universal Pictures.

Most recently Walker starred on CBS's "Cane" opposite Jimmy Smits and
Hector Elizondo. The series centered on the external rivalries and
internal power struggles of a large Cuban-American family running an
immensely successful rum and sugar business in South Florida.

On film, Walker first garnered international attention as a
single-minded English member of an Irish terrorist group in Phillip
Noyce's "Patriot Games" opposite Harrison Ford. She has also
impressed audiences in Peter Greenaway's "8 1/2 Women," Michael
Hoffman's "Restoration" with Robert Downey Jr. and Sam Neill, and Mike
Newell's "Enchanted April."

Walker lives in Los Angeles with her family.
