What I love most about Battlestar Galactica: It combines cool (Vipers and Battlestars and Cylons) with smart (the best writing and storytelling on television).
Why I'm looking forward to Caprica: Besides learning the backstory of the Adama family and the rise of the Cylons, I like the idea of the first merging of the sci-fi and primetime soap genres (Battlestar meets Dallas)!
My favorite Battlestar Galactica / Caprica characters: Colonel Tigh, Helo, Athena, Felix Gaeta, Chief Tyrol, Doc Cottle, Cavil, Billy, Romo Lampkin, and of course, The Old Man. As for Caprica, we'll see soon enough...
My favorite Battlestar Galactica / Caprica moments: Galactica jumps into the atmosphere of New Caprica and launches her vipers; the All Along the Watchtower revelations; the assault on the Cylon Colony; any scene with Adama and Tigh drinking together.
